The crew assembled a huge sunscreen which was constructed from aluminum pipe and a square piece of material in order to keep the lighting perfect for the cameras.

“Bigfoot Wars,” being produced by Origin Film Company of Mineola, started filming early Monday at the Mineola Chamber of Commerce and has since moved to the Mineola Nature Preserve.

Becky Young, the person on set that han- dles the press, said the company plans on filming in Mineola through Aug. 31. However, future set locations have not been solidified as, “everything is up in the air,” due to a constantly changing shooting schedule.

Because “Bigfoot Wars” is based on a series of best-selling books by Eric S. Brown, a sequel is a possibility. However, Young said the director is not sure at this point.
